About Me

My name is Eilidh Forbes, I am currently studying advertising and public relations at college. I decided to create a blog of advertisements i love and dislike, i'm all about creatives and therefore feel that having an eye-catching and clever advert is vital and so would like to give it credit! And as for the bad ads, well, there is much to say on them too! Adverts will include various types of medias including print, television and radio. I will also add any links of articles on advertisements and similar things that i may find interesting.

Aiming High: Ads to Recognise & Favouritise

The city in your hands. The first Urban Activity Vehicle – Ford Fusion

I really do enjoy most car adverts, especially television and print. This is a print ad for Ford, from first glance it really caught my eye. It's clever, unique, eye-catching and gets the point across without any explanation; it explains everything in the short tagline 'The city is in your hands'. The two key words that are represented in this advert are 'city' and 'hands', the key itself represents the control and power of going where you need to go but it is the detail on the key- the carving of a city, that explains where it is you are going, where this key can take you and how you will get there. The bottom text states 'The first urban activity vehicle', this is also explained through the exceptionally clever creativity in the design of the key. The colours are simple and the logo of Ford is clear, very little text and the focal point of the key..I can't describe my passion for this advert, i love it. I could go into great detail about this ad, but i don't need to-it's simplicity and genius at its best.
